| 1967 | Member of a Working Party set up by the Association of Child Psychology and Psychiatry in collaboration with the National Bureau for Co-operation in Child Care. Under the chairmanship of Dr. Jessie Parfitt, Principal Medical Officer (Child Psychiatry) for the Greater London Council, the Working Party published a report entitled "The Community's Children". The Report dealt with the Management and Treatment of Emotional Problems of Children in Care. |
| 1970-1987 | Founder of Messenger House Trust and Hutchinson Settlement - a therapeutic type community based in Wimbledon. A National Registered Charity, it provided support and accommodation for homeless and deprived young people. Dr. Lomax-Simpson was also the Trust's Honorary Therapeutic Advisor from 1970-1982, and during this period developed a technique of working with people in a Large Group setting. |
